Mr. N. R. Narayana Murthy

N. R. Narayana Murthy is the Founder-Chairman of Infosys Technologies Limited, a global software consulting company headquartered in Bangalore, India. He founded Infosys in 1981. Under his leadership, Infosys was listed on NASDAQ in 1999. Mr. Murthy articulated, designed and implemented the Global Delivery Model which has become the foundation for the huge success in IT services outsourcing from India. He has led key corporate governance initiatives in India. He is an IT advisor to several Asian countries.
He serves on the boards of HSBC, Ford Foundation and the UN Foundation. He served as a member of the Unilever board between 2007 and 2010. He also serves on the boards of Cornell University, Wharton School, Singapore Management University, Indian School of Business, Hyderabad, Indian institute of Management Technology, Bangalore and INSEAD.
The Economist ranked Narayana Murthy among the ten most-admired global business leaders in 2005. He topped the Economic Times list of India’s most powerful CEO’s for three consecutive years: 2004 to 2006. He has been awarded the Padma Vibhushan by the Government of India, the Legion d’honneur by the Government of France, and the CBE by the British government. He is the first Indian winner of Ernst and Young’s World Entrepreneur of the year award and the Max Schmidheiny Liberty prize, and has appeared in the rankings of businessmen and innovators published by India Today, Business Standard, Forbes, BusinessWeek, Time, CNN, Fortune and Financial Times. He is a Fellow of the Indian National Academy of Engineering and a foreign member of the US National Academy of Engineering. |

Dr. Devi Prasad Shetty

Padmashree Devi Prasad Shetty is the Founder, Chairman & Senior Consultant Cardiac Surgeon of Narayana Hrudayalaya Group of Hospitals , Bangalore.
After serving in various capacities in the UK Hospitals from 1983 1989, he served the BM Birla Heart Research Center Kolkata from 1989 to 1997 and Manipal Heart Foundation from 1997 to 2001
He founded the Narayana Hrudayalaya Group of Hospitals in 2001 which performs the largest number of heart surgeries on children with heart diseases from 56 countries.
Dr.Shetty developed a Micro Health Insurance program called Yeshaswini where 3 million farmers of Karnataka have benefitted. He brought down the cost of major heart surgery from 1,20,000/- to 65,000/- thereby proving to the Indian health care policy makers that the working class and the poor can afford health care only through such programs.
He launched a telemedicine program in association with the Indian Space Research Organisation to create hundreds of satellite centers to treat heart patients in remote parts of India and Africa.
He developed the concept of five thousand beds health cities in one campus to reduce the cost of major surgeries as against the 100 to 200 beds hospitals. He was successful with the Pilot project in Bangalore with 5000 beds and similar projects coming in five state capitals.
He was conferred with the Padmashree Award by the Government of India in 2003.
He also received the Dr.B.C.Roy Award in 2004 from the Medical Council of India.
He was the recipient of Ernst and Young, Entrepreneur of the year Award in 2003 and Social Entrepreneurship Award by the World Economic Forum in 2005. |

Prof. S. Sadagopan

Professor Sadagopan, Director of IIIT-Bangalore, is a product of Madras University, India and Purdue University, USA. He taught for 25+ years at IIT Kanpur, IIM Bangalore, IIT Madras and IIIT-Bangalore in addition to short teaching assignments at RUTGERS, USA and AIT, Bangkok.
He has authored seven books, several book chapters and papers.
He is a Fellow of IEE (UK) and Computer Society of India. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, ACM and AIS.
He consults widely and lectures extensively on all aspects of IT.
He serves on the boards of Bharat Electronics, Neyveli Lignite Corporation and Indian Renewable Energy Agency as well as several Universities / Institutes - IBAB, ISIM, IIIT Bhubaneshwar and IIIT-Delhi.
He serves as a Member of Karnataka Knowledge Commission, Chief Minister's Vision Group on IT, NASSCOM Regional Council, Indian Semiconductor Association (ISA) Executive Council and ACM India Council. He is the Chair of IEEE Computer Society, Bangalore Chapter. |

Ravichandar is Chairman, Feedback Consulting (www.feedbackconsulting.com),a leading research and consulting firm in India. Feedback has undertaken over 2400 studies, particularly in assessing market opportunities for clients, such as GE, ABB, Siemens, Shell, Infosys, Philips, 3M, Saint Gobain, Intel, IBM, HP, Bosch, Alcan, Dow Corning and others, including consulting assignments regarding setting up of new ventures in India. Feedback has enabled over US$ 6 bn investment decisions by providing key insights for Indian and foreign firms about the Indian market.
Ravichandar has been a member of the Bangalore Agenda Task Force (BATF), a public-private partnership, where he has contributed pro bono on initiatives regarding urban infrastructure, governance issues, fiscal improvements and on enhancing quality of life. He has set up www.ideasforgov.org, a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative for improving quality of life in urban India. Ravichandar along with three others was involved in evangelizing the setting up of the US$ 12 bn Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission (JN-NURM) fund by the Union Government for 63 cities in India.
He currently is a strong proponent of City Connect that gets industry involved in issues of urban governance.
Ravichandar has a Mechanical Engineering degree from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad with over 30 years industry experience.
